Kids ages 6 months to 4 years and their grown ups work together in the ARTLAB to create masterpieces inspired by the world around them. ARTLAB is a place for young artists to explore and discover their visual world, and experiment with their own creative powers. Our classes are carefully structured to create an open-ended and child-centered experience, where your little artist interprets and engages every activity in his or her own way.

ARTLAB Original
For artists ages 2.5 to 4 and their adult collaborators.
Each week, we read a story or investigate work by a well-known artist, and explore what we find through drawing, painting, sculpture, or collage. Young artists develop observation and fine motor skills, grown-ups get tips for experiencing art with their kids, and everyone shares their creations at the end of class.
Have an older two year old? Choose this level when your little artist enjoys examining pictures, becomes more verbal, and begins to develop an interest in imaginative play. Or, see ARTLAB Junior!

ARTLAB Junior
For artists ages 15 months to 2.75 years and their adult collaborators.
In this process-oriented class, free exploration of art and sensory materials is balanced with simply structured activities and projects. Caregivers discover new ways to engage their budding artists in a social environment that encourages the critical artistic act of play! Projects range from drawing and painting to sculpture and collage.
Have an older two year old? Choose this level when your little artist is interested in mark-making and using tools, but still enjoys a free-form, sensory play approach to art-making. Or, see ARTLAB Original.

ARTLAB Storytime
For artists ages 6-18 months and their adult collaborators.
An introduction to the studio for the tiniest artists! This class features books, balls and simple (often edible) project options with crayons, fingerpaints or stamp pads. The concepts of color, shape, texture and line are introduced through songs, stories and movement activities for children and their grownups to experience together.
